We specialize in the care and treatment of individual paintings or entire museum collections, contemporary or antique, minature size or oversized including murals and painted objects.
Painting conservation and restoration services are offered for works of art ranging from period to modern paintings. My training has allowed me to develop restoration techniques for damaged and uncleaned paintings. We are able to reline, clean, patch tears, fill, retouch, and varnish paintings following art restoration guidelines. We also practice conservation techniques to stablize areas of damage and loss to a painting. We work hard to maintain much of the original painting and only make cosmetic changes for areas of loss to a painting (restoration is cosmetic but conseravation requires more scientific knowledge). I personally work on period works of art and document and store visual images of all work done before, during, and after restoration project. Hours are documented and clients are welcome to visit studio and check on the progress of painting's restoration. I feel it is important that the client understands the time and energy involved to complete a restoration project sucessfully.
